Stringnet Policy
TRYING OUT AN INSTRUMENT
We are happy to arrange for a two week trial of an instrument. Insurance does not cover our instruments outside our studio so we require a 50% deposit prior to shipping an instrument.
Returned instruments or bows must be in original condition as received, packed securely and including all accessories. We reserve the right to refuse any returns of instruments or accessories abused in any way rendering them unfit for resale. If we accept return, we reserve right to assess and deduct from the refund, the costs of repairs as we estimate them.
RETURN PROCEDURE
Please pack the instrument into its original case with plenty of cushioning to prevent rattling within the case; place the case in a shipping box, tape securely, and mark with Stringnet’s address. Make sure to ship your product back insured and with tracking. We are not responsible if your package is lost in transit.
Please allow approximately 5 business days for your return to be processed once it has arrived at Stringnet.
No goods will be accepted for exchange or return without prior authorization.
DAMAGED & SHORT SHIPMENTS
For your protection, Stringnet purchases excess value coverage from the various Interstate Common Carriers that we employ to ensure that the merchandise you ordered arrives undamaged. The charge for this coverage is INCLUDED in the delivery charge that we quote. In the unlikely event that your shipment arrives with physical damage or shortage:
It’s a good idea to observe the outer package as soon as received. if you note obvious signs of abuse (crushing of carton, tears, etc.), take some digital photos. They will be useful in proving damage occurred while in possession of carrier, if such questions arise. Advise the carrier’s representative that there is physical damage (or a shortage) and note the damage (or shortage) on the airbill (all damage/shortage must be stated on the airbill, no damage/shortage claims are accepted AFTER the delivery has been made).
Do NOT sign the airbill stating that the merchandise was received in Good Condition.
Please retain all shipping materials. A representative of the Interstate Common Carrier will contact you to make arrangements for viewing and assessing the damages. Please notify us as soon as possible at 862-222-7011
